Stress!

Our end of the year celebration is coming closer and closer and I have to admit that I do not feel prepared for what is happening! We have everything that we need, materially, but we still need to practice with the kids. My coteacher and I spent last week planning out what studies we are going to do next year and that led to me organizing books and coming up with even more projects that I want to put together for the studies. We have decided on Pets, Balls, Signs. Trees, and Getting Ready for Kindergarten. We also have to start the year with our Beginning of the Year study. It might be one of my least favorites, but when management says you have to do it, you have to do it. Oh well. Keep heckling back for new projects as we get into these studies!

We have also decided that we want to do an Author of the Moment next year. It started as “author of the month” but switching out an author every month felt very overwhelming to me. I spent today starting to get those supplies and projects started. I also went to Target to find bins to organize our author books into. Let me tell you how happy Target made me! They had the bin size that I needed, on clearance, and I had a 15% off on Cartwheel!! If that wasn’t heaven then I don’t know what is! I’m going to spend tomorrow getting those bins made up and organized, so I’ll post pictures when that’s all set.

I wanted to post a picture of our end of the year celebration ticket invitations but I’m currently writing this from my phone and it isn’t letting me upload anything. Technology drives me crazy sometimes!

It’s time to chase my little one down and get him ready for bed. Goodnight everyone! 😘

Wow. Summer is almost here!

I feel like it's been forever since I've posted on here! This past week was a short one, but it felt like it lasted forever. Work was just chaos. I realized that I really only have 2 weeks left of this year and it definitely sent me into a panic. I have a lot left to do and not a lot of time to do it!

I was able to take some time and finish up some Teachers Pay Teachers products that I was working on, so that was exciting! I still have a list a mile long, but I'll get to it all eventually! This week I worked on additions for our Buildings theme. Everything that I made was inspired by this lovely book:
This is what we use in our classroom. For those of you who are not familiar with this curriculum, it's wonderful. It truly covers every area of learning and makes a teacher's life a little bit easier! I will be honest, we did not do this study this year, but I wanted to make some extra activities in case we decide to do it next year.

I made these super cute alphabet cards that each contain a different type of building. What a great way to show that there are more than just houses and apartments and schools out there!

I also made these simple clip cards to help with letter-sound recognition. Just print the cards, cut and laminate, and use clothespins to show what letter each building begins with.
Here are some cute measurement cards to practice math skills! Just choose an object to use (ruler, unifix cubes, Legos, whatever!) and start measuring and comparing.

The last 3 products that I have completed this week are a word wall pack, a pattern card pack, and (my personal favorite) an A-Z book of famous buildings around the world.

I really hope that everyone else loves these as much as I do! Head on over to my TpT Store and check them out! Preschool Productions on TpT
